Edvard Munch's "The Scream" is exactly how I feel right now!!!
We just received news that the kids' school will be closed now until next Thursday due to the Swine Flu rearing its ugly head. I'm grateful that the school is taking the recommended safety measures, but I'm also starting to worry about all the work that the kids will need to make up before the (very busy) school year ends.
This seriously cramps everyone's style... I feel for the parents who work full-time and don't have the flexibility that I do.
Word to the wise... Be proactive, wash your hands all the time, stay healthy, and while you're at it, eat your vegetables and take your vitamins!!! Ugh!!!

Oh they have that picture on the wall where I take music therapy. My mom and me are sick of hearing about swine flu.
ReplyDeleteMe, too, Sarah. Very much so!
ReplyDeleteI don't even want to turn on the news! Welcome to Finn'again. CUTE name!
ReplyDeleteUggg, very frustrating I'm sure!!! Glad your all healthy though!!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteYeah, a bunch of school's in our area have closed down too.I have been feeling sorry for all those kids because it probably means a longer school year :(
ReplyDeleteLove the picture with your post :)
So what do they do when something like this happens? Will they have to extend the school year--isn't their state law that kids need to be in school for a certain amount of days. Here in the Northeast, if we have too many snow days, extra days get added to the end of the year. What a drag! Well, try not to go crazy having everyone unexpectedly home--I'm sure you manage to make it fun for everyone.
ReplyDeleteThey have closed down some school districts around here too. I hope it all go away soon, Im sick of it too!
ReplyDeleteA school district close to us just shut down for 10 days!! I will lose my mind if our school district shuts down. :-)
ReplyDeleteOh no! Hope things are okay there - the kids where I teach are enjoying the drama I think. I'm not though. Hope it isn't too stressful and we all get plenty of other things to think about (nice things!)
